about.

I'm Wesley, born in '98, currently working as an ML Engineer at ThreatFabric. I'm mainly involved in the design, implementation and deployment of real-time fraud detection systems for financial services based on user behavior data. I'm also wrapping up my BSc in Data Science & AI.

I'm one of the co-founders of Btrkoop, a Dutch startup that helps people find where they can get their groceries for the best price, Dutch culture is very skewed towards discounts.

Before I went into AI, I spent a good chunk of time in security/ethical hacking, malware reverse engineering and software development. I started writing code when I was around 10, so I've been at it for a bit, and as a result accumulated nearly two decades of experience and opinions about software.

The Dutch education system decided I wasn't academic material when I turned 12. I disagreed—worked my way up from vocational school, taught myself the math, entered university. Mostly self-taught.
